Ella decided that 5 in the A.M. was an ideal time to wake me up with her cold nose on my arm. As per usual in these situations we went downstairs and out the front door to give her a chance to mark the territory. While I waited I thought about the time.
If I went back to sleep I was almost guaranteed to be i nthe midst of REM when my alarm went off, leading to a groggy morning. Not a good thing.
So, I am up an hour and fifteen minutes earlier than usual. The pup is happily gnawing a nylabone on the floor behind me.
Yawn
