Building Regular Expressions
A while back I ran across these two programs that help to build and test Regular Expressions. While I haven’t used either of them as of yet, I thought I would post about them to let others know of their existence. Oh yeah, it’s a good way for me to keep “remember” them in the future when I need help with RegEx issues.
The Regex Coach – “The Regex Coach is a graphical application for Linux and Windows which can be used to experiment with (Perl-compatible) regular expressions interactively.”
CFRegEx – A port “of the KDE Visual Regular Expression tool to a stand-alone windows executable”. The code will soon be opened to allow a port to the Mac.

O’Reilly Digital Media Center – “The O’Reilly Digital Media site features news, articles, tutorials, portfolios, weblogs, and a resource directory for digital photographers, musicians, and graphic designers.”
Current Electoral Vote Predictor
The Current Electoral Vote Predictor is “dedicated to tracking the electoral vote by examining the state-by-state polls. As new state polls are released, the maps, spreadsheets, tables, graphs, and movies will be updated.” Note the XML feed, if you want to keep up with the counts, like I do.
