Delicious Library appeals to so many of my geek/nerd facets, that I don’t even know where to begin…
> Delicious Library’s digital shelves act as a visual card-catalog of your books, movies, music and video games. A scan of a barcode is all Delicious Library needs to add an item to your digital shelves, downloading tons of info from the internet like the author, release date, current value, description, and even a high-resolution picture of the cover.
Besides the ability to keep track of all of my media on my computer – something I have attempted to do many times before – I truly love the idea of being able to scan the UPCs to import the item. I’ve always felt that the inclusion of UPCs within a product design has been a waste of space from a customer perspective. We, as consumers, have no need for the UPC once the item has been scanned and purchased from our retailer of choice. Delicious Monster changes that, breathing purpose into the ranks of lines on our CDs, books and DVDs.
The unique site design is a great touch, and the reason I learned of the site, as the CSS Valut featured the site today.
